MASTERCLASS 1
Production in the Value Chain: Transforming Film Production with AI Tool

Speakers DAY 1:
Rafael Antunes is a PhD candidate in Communication Sciences at Universidade Lusófona, where he also holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Cinema, Video, and Multimedia Communication. He has specialized in areas such as Immersive Video Storytelling and AI-driven screenplay writing. Rafael is an Associate Professor in the Bachelor’s programme in Cinema, Video, and Multimedia Communication at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, and is an audiovisual consultant. His award-winning project Lápis Azul highlights his focus on the intersection of cinema, storytelling, and technology.

Social Media Short Films: Making Films with Just a Camera or Smartphone

Speakers DAY 2:
Pedro Canavilhas is a Lisbon-based filmmaker and producer with over 25 years of experience. As co-founder of B'Lizzard Motion Pictures, he has led international projects across 20 countries. Holding a degree in Cinema and Multimedia Communication, Pedro now focuses on solo filmmaking, creating content that entertains and informs.
Hadeer Omar is an Egyptian media artist, designer, and assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar. She blends art and technology, focusing on immersive media and video installations that explore cultural identity and womanhood in the MENA region. Her work has been featured at institutions like Qatar Museums and major cultural events like the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
